Data from The First Hogthrob Field Experiment

Here you can find the raw data from the experiment, together with the extracted data, and the application to perform the extraction.

The extracted data is available as CSV files. There are 7 columns in the CSV files. They are:

• Timestamp in unix-time (i.e. seconds since 1/1/1970)
• Sample number. When the difference between to consecutive sample numbers are larger than 1, samples have been dropped
• X-axis data for the digital accelerometer
• Y-axis data for the digital accelerometer
• Z-axis data for the digital accelerometer
• X-axis data for the analog accelerometer
• Y-axis data for the analog accelerometer

The data from the accelerometers are in their raw form. So to convert the results from the digital accelerometer to g the following formula have to be used:

acceleration = 2 g * raw / 2048

The analog accelerometers was not initialized correctly during the experiment, which means that it cannot readily be converted to g

The video data from the experiment cannot be made public, due to the agreement with the farm.
